T-Mobile UK Samsung Omnia 7 Finally Gets NoDo Update. softpedia
UK residents who own T-Mobile's Samsung Omnia 7 will be happy to find that the highly-anticipated NoDo update is finally available for download.
T-Mobile UK has just announced via Twitter that the aforementioned update for Windows Phone 7 can be downloaded through Zune.
Also known as the March 2011 update, NoDo brings the long-awaited Copy&Paste feature on Windows Phone 7 devices, along with other Wi-Fi, Marketplace and camera improvements.
Although the update is said to contain increased performance for apps and games at start-up and resume, NoDo also includes software from several phone manufacturers that improves the performance of specific models.
However, users who do now own one of the phones addressed won't need to install this portion of the software update.
Regarding the Marketplace improvements, Microsoft streamlined Marketplace search to make it easier to find specific apps, games, or music.
In addition, the stability of Marketplace while downloading apps has been improved. Experience when downloading apps larger than 20MB has been improved as well, along with the process of upgrading from trial apps to paid apps.
Other Marketplace improvements include: sharing links to apps via email, sorting Xbox LIVE games by release date and creating an Xbox LIVE account from within the Games Hub.
User will now be able to check their device's MAC address right from the Settings menu, something that wasn't available before.
Facebook integration is another new feature included within the NoDo software update, as Microsoft improved the experience of syncing Facebook accounts.
The stability of switching between camera and video modes has also been improved, along with the experience of using a Bluetooth headset to make calls when playing music or videos.
Make sure that the latest version of Zune syncing software is installed on the PC before trying to download and install the update.
