If you're looking for a friendly game of pool, Vegas Pool Sharks Lite could be your place. The ad-supported Android game offers four different game types, 3D viewing, realistic ball play, and the ability to spin shots.
But watch out for pool hustlers. Vegas Pool Sharks Lite pits you against four successive opponents with increasing skill levels. And there are stakes involved. It costs (an imaginary) $100 for each match with Sharon, $500 to play Shawn, $1,000 to take on Shauna, and $5,000 to challenge Vegas Pool's top shark Shemp. An image of your opponent appears each time they take a shot.
Select from four different pool games:
- Straight pool. The person with the most balls sunk wins.
- Eight Ball. Shoot either solids or stripes, then sink the eight ball at the end for victory.
- Nine Ball. Sink the balls in order. Whoever sinks the 9 ball wins.
- Practice mode. Practice your shot making skills without the pressure of competition.
Shots are played through your phone's touch screen. You can adjust the cue left or right to aim your shot, and up or down to put spin on the cue ball. You can rotate the view for a different look or to move your cue to go for a different ball. And scratched balls may be played anywhere you wish. The score is displayed at the top of the screen. Vegas Pool Sharks Lite keeps track of your winnings (or losses!) against each of the four opponents.
